Role of Liv.52 in the treatment of malabsorption syndrome
ثبت نشده
چکیده
INTRODUCTION The term ‘malabsorption syndrome’ is non-specific and would seem to include diseases in which some abnormality of absorption exists. Though they may be of varied aetiology, most of them resemble each other and exhibit protein, carbohydrate, fat, minerals and vitamins deficiency. The clinical manifestations are similar to the disease known as `Sprue’ that is why the term malabsorption syndrome is also referred to as Sprue Syndrome.

Comparative investigations of infectious runting and stunting syndrome in vaccinated breeder chicks by inactivated reovirus and chicks from non-vaccinated breeders

They are associated with many disease and syndromes such as malabsorption (runting and stunting syndrome), respiratory diseases and immunosuppression. Broiler birds are most susceptible to viral infections during the early post hatching period. Therefore, the transfer of materna...

The mechanism of protective effects of Liv-52, a multiherbal hepatoprotective drug, on ethanol induced hepatic damage has been investigated. The results indicate that Liv-52 treatment prevents ethanol induced increase in the activity of the enzyme gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase. Concomitantly there was also a decrease in ethanol accentuated lipid peroxidation in liver following Liv-52 treatment....

This study was undertaken to investigate the protective effect of Liv.52, a herbal formulation, on various serum and liver marker enzymes, lipid peroxidation and histological changes in the liver of male albino rats suffering long-term carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) poisoning. It was observed that the activities of serum marker enzymes, hepatic enzymes and NADPH-dependent lipid peroxidation were s...
